Sun salutation á la Maria
Connect with your inner strength
Duration: 1h 12 minutes
Level: suitable for all training levels, from absolute beginner to Pilates professional
At the beginning of the class, we activate our energy channels as usual and stimulate the lymph flow. This prepares your body and mind optimally for the movements of the class and facilitates the transition into the relaxation phase, in which we can come to rest in a content and relaxed manner.
Sun Salutation Flow á la Maria
The Sun Salutation Flow á la Maria is particularly characterized by the fact that we repeat movements in flow, consciously integrate multidimensional movements and breathing and apply differentiated breathing techniques. These help you to delve deeper into your fascia, your body organs and your mental structure.
Why is it important to repeat movements?
Repeating movements in flow is important to train our muscles and memory. It creates a meditation in movement that helps us to immerse ourselves in the present moment and reach a deeper level of body awareness.
Repeating movements in flow is also an essential aspect of improving neuromuscular coordination. Through this continuous practice, we can internalize movements, which leads to a more fluid and harmonious execution.
What is the effect of differentiated breathing in flow?
By consciously breathing in flow, we synchronize our breathing with every movement, which improves oxygen uptake and leads to greater mental clarity.
Breathing helps us to fully experience every moment. It not only serves as a rhythm generator for our movements, but also as a bridge between body and mind, enabling us to enter a state of higher spiritual presence.
Through breathing, we deepen our awareness of the present moment and can thus increase our physical and mental well-being.
Why are multidimensional movements important?
By integrating multidimensional movements into our flow of movement, we create a comprehensive stimulation of all the senses.
We navigate through space on different levels, which sharpens our spatial perception and deepens our cognitive understanding of the coordination of our movements. This challenges the mind and promotes concentration and mental flexibility.
Before we dive into the flow, I will show you an exercise to open the diaphragm, which creates more space for deep, liberating breaths and at the same time promotes our core stability.
At the end of the lesson, we glide into a relaxation phase together, in which we can enjoy the fruits of our practice and start the day or evening with satisfaction.
I look forward to sharing this multidimensional flow with you and entering a state of greater awareness and harmony together.
