We start this Pilates class by focusing on our breathing to create space in our bodies.
Breathing is is not only crucial for our energy, but also for correct alignment and mobility. Let's discover together how we can create more space for ourselves through conscious breathing.
Understanding the anatomy of the hip better
We will dive deeper into the anatomy of our hips and understand how the angle of our hip joints depends on various factors, including our origins.
For example Asians often have a greater acetabulotrochanteric (AT) angle than Europeans. We will also talk about how occupational activities that require prolonged sitting, unilateral sports activities and incorrect exercises can affect our hip flexors.
Of course Age, gender and lifestyle habits play a decisive role, especially when it comes to the degenerative process of all our joints. In this Pilates class, I will also explain how we can positively influence this process.
In the main section We synchronize our body with our mind through flowing movements in order to gain more strength and flexibility through individual Pilates and yoga exercises.
In this hour we will also incorporate many twisting movements to not only open the chest for breathing, but also to gently activate and massage the peristalsis and organs.
Finally: release tension with your breathing
At the end of the class we will not only talk about how the breath helps us to let go of emotions, but also how it can help us to release physical tension.
