Brief explanations of over 110 Pilates exercises

For each Pilates exercise there is besides the detailed exercise explanation another brief explanation.

The short explanation videos last about 2 minutes and are meant to be a constant companion to help you learn Pilates. You don't need to watch the longer exercise explanations if you just need a small and quick reminder.

"A few well thought out movements, done correctly in a balanced sequence, are better than hours of sloppy practice or forced contortions."

SAMPLE VIDEOS FOR BRIEF EXPLANATIONS

In the brief explanations, we use visual "watchpoints" to show you how the respective Pilates exercise is carried out correctly. Check yourself again and again. Take a look at the brief explanations and go through the exercise point by point.

Pay attention to proper breathing. In each short explanation video, the breathing bar shows you when to breathe in and out. Conscious breathing strengthens concentration and intensifies the exercises. The mind becomes calm and the energy flow in the body is stimulated.

We also use the short explanations for the video self-check. For example, it works like this...

  1. Look carefully at the short explanation. Repeat the exercise ten times.
  2. Turn on your smartphone camera and film another ten repetitions of the exercise.
  3. Then compare your recording with Maria's execution.
  4. Then do the exercise again (ten repetitions) to perfect the exercise.
